What was heroes last episode

They really messed up the all-powerful threat with Arthur Petrelli, but Sylar was always the one you expected to be in that position. It would have ended the stupid Sylar being good thing, gotten rid of the extra carnies, and we could have gotten rid of Hiro too, all in one feeding frenzy.

I only do it nowadays because I still have feelings for the characters that stopped being interesting after the 1st season. I was overall a little disappointed, because they had done such a great job of building the season up.

By comparison, the finale was kind of hollow and rushed. In earlier episodes, it seemed like Samuel was going to unleash the apocalypse — remember the world splitting apart in season 3?

And whatever they do with Sylar, good guy or bad guy, I just want him to keep using that fiendish cunning and keen sense of irony that makes him so interesting. What makes a person point out a typo like that, by the way? Hundreds of words about a television show, but you take the time to point out a typo. The bank robbery was on the news. If you are going to be critical of a series, do your homework and at least re-watch old episodes you are going to make reference to.

I realize it is opinion, but his final scene was worse than a student film. But also, give me a break. There were eye witnesses at the bank robbery, right? As far as NBC is concerned, Heroes is one of the few franchises they can still bank on. Honestly, with the exception of Chuck, I have no idea what airs on that network the other 3 days of the week.

This was their strongest season in a while which is pretty sad to consider, all things being equal , but that word of mouth might be enough to get them some more viewers, especially if they announced a real end date.

Not now, at least. This was hard for me to let go, because oh my how amazing was the first season. Watching it just depresses me because of what the show became. I still find it odd that the finale is in the beginning of February. Did they cut down the order of episodes?

I had high hopes for the season finale but was sorely let down. I really like Samuel as a villain—his ambition, his past, his ability to manipulate. The most disappointing was the final showdown between peter and samuel.

I mean were led to believe that samuel has this uber ability that makes people shit their pants in fear of what it can do just from looking at a video of him as child. Then when its all said and done what? I mean he could have at least done some crazy shit like what he did to sylar earlier in the season.

I have been waiting for the badass Hiro that I saw in season one you know the one with the pony tail and sword but again nothing but disappointments. Also if i were Peter or Sylar and you just saved Parkman from multiple man and he has the balls to start giving you lip. I mean come on use some of those super powers to make him STFU and show him what rung he is on the ladder, not kill him but just a savage beating for good measure.

If this was the series finale then it went out with a fizzle…. In the end, all that matters is love. Thanks for clearing that up, too. And he was, arriving at the last second to fly nuclear Peter into the atmosphere, sacrificing himself. Yet again, this all felt so rushed. Why not draw that out a little more? Or, on the flip side, why not just have Claire shoot Peter in the head? It would toughen her up. So, in summary, this episode botched its chance to have a really kick-ass battle royal, and it also botched its chance to have a very emotional, character-driven scene.

There were some small pleasures. Finally discovering H. Scary, huh? I would like to say that Parkman is dead because he was hit in the torso with four — four — bullets, but this show is frustratingly uneven with whom it chooses to mortally injure yet have survive D. So this is how volume 1 ends, clearly not with a bang and with maybe just a little more than a whimper. There's nothing inherently wrong with redeeming a villain, but when you make a villain become a hero, you risk eradicating exactly what's so engaging about the character.

Sylar became another unfortunate member of the funnybook flip-flopping fraternity. Zachary Quinto masterfully played the chilling and terrifying villain Sylar of Heroes ' first season, but his alliances became more fluid as of season 3.

When he was captured by the clandestine organization known as the Company, Angela Petrelli convinced Sylar she was his mother. After some road trips, Sylar went back to the dark side, only to then go back to the good guys again by the end of season 4, helping against Samuel Robert Knepper and his carnie villains. By making Sylar flip-flop, the writers of Heroes gutted the proverbial goose of its golden egg. While Sylar was just straight-up bad, there was no scarier villain anywhere on television.

Sometimes you've just got to keep the bad guys bad. Sylar may have been Heroes ' best bad guy most of the time , but when it came to the good guys, Masi Oka as the wide-eyed innocent Hiro was one of the best reasons to watch the show.

While most of the show's good guys came off as much as victims to their new abilities as they were beneficiaries, Hiro was the Billy Batson of Heroes — a boy though grown with his dreams of superpowers magically fulfilled. Watching the first season of Heroes , viewers loved the sweet and lovable Hiro and couldn't wait to see him finally meet up with the show's other protagonists and prove himself against Sylar. During the battle against Sylar in the first season's finale, Hiro finally fulfilled the prophecy found in the pages of a comic book and ran Sylar through with his sword.

But before any of the other characters even had time to ask who this Japanese guy was who came out of nowhere and stabbed a dude, Hiro was hurled through the air and teleported to 17th century Japan. That time jump back to Japan — or at least the amount of time Hiro spent there — was a mistake.

It kept Hiro away from the rest of the show's protagonists, and it didn't entertain on its own. Heroes creator Tim Kring said as much when talking to EW about the failures of season 2, admitting Hiro's adventures in the past should've lasted no more than "three episodes.

Speaking to GamesRadar at 's San Diego Comic Con about the release of Heroes Reborn — the miniseries set ten years after the conclusion of Heroes' fourth and final season — Heroes creator Tim Kring said the show never should've been canceled. Contrary to the numbers , Kring claimed Heroes' fourth season was a spectacular success. He said the problem was that Heroes ' low ratings weren't an accurate gauge of its viewership. Heroes Reborn 's failure to impress could give you good reason to doubt Kring's postmortem assessment of Heroes , but he thinks the poor reception to Heroes Reborn has less to do with the show's quality and more to do with audience expectation.

Death was too cruel. Death was too kind. The writers' strike. Bad Romance. Too much soap. Too dark. Identity crisis. Choose a side already, Spock. Is Heroes Reborn Season 5? What year did the show heroes come out? How many seasons of Heroes Reborn is there? Does Heroes Reborn end on a cliffhanger? Is Sylar a Petrelli?
